She Ate, He Ate, They Hid - Why We Still Hide Today
Verse 6 breaks it down in three hooks: The tree was good for food, desirable to the eyes, and pleasing to look at for wisdom.
That's flesh, eyes, and pride. Same three hooks that get us today.
Eve eats. Then the detail everyone misses - Adam was with her. He wasn't somewhere else. He was right there and he ate too.
Verse 7: Their eyes opened and they realized they were naked. They sewed fig leaves. That's man's first attempt to fix sin by himself. It didn't work then, it doesn't work now.
Verse 8-9: God walks in the garden in the breezy part of the day and calls, "Where are you?" He knew where they were. He was giving them a chance to come clean.
Verse 12-13: Adam blames Eve - "The woman you gave me." Eve blames the serpent - "He deceived me." Nobody says, "I did it."
Lesson: Sin makes us hide, then blame. God makes us come out, then confess.
WARDEN V 3 Take: Assist means we don't hide. We come to God honest, even when we messed up.
